THE ONLY SKI BUILT LIKE A SKATEBOARD

Details

MORE DURABLE! MORE LIGHTER! MORE BUTTERY! MORE FUNNER!
The only ski in the world built like a skateboard, with a lightweight construction and 3D Butterzone™ for more control and quickness. Every jibbers #1 tool for creative, bombproof, buttery good times.
The top laminate on the Afterbang ski features an abrasion resistant layer as well as the reduction of a layer of maple veneer in the tips. The result is dramatically increased tip & tail durability while reducing swing weight. We’ve relocated the 3D Butterzone to a spot that's closer to your feet which means more torsional forgiveness for smoother, more consistent, controllable butters & presses than ever before. The Afterbang is still the only ski in the world built with our patented 6-Ply maple veneer Skate Deck construction, exactly like a skateboard, for durability like no other park ski on the planet.

Technology

Skate Deck™

Skate Deck™

6-plys of horizontally laminated Maple veneers built the same as a skateboard for unbeatable strength & shock resistance.

Carbon Ollieband™

Carbon Ollieband™

Tip to tail carbon-fiber stringers are vertically laminated into the core for more energy & pop for ollieing over snowboarders.

Symmetric Flex™

Symmetric Flex™

The same ski flex in-front and behind your boot conforms to terrain for equally performance riding forward & backwards.

Symmetric Fivecut™

Symmetric Fivecut™

5 different sizes of sidecut radius shapes are blended into one symmetric shape, for intuitive control & unlimited turn shapes.

3D Butterzone™

3D Butterzone™

The thinnest point of the ski is in front & behind the binding to create a distinct “hinge” point for smooth, controllable presses and butters without restricting all-mountain handling.

Fatty Base & Edge™

Fatty Base & Edge™

30% thicker & edge dramatically increases durability & tuning life.

Tigersnake™

Tigersnake™

An electrical conduit is woven into the core with control knobs on top, so the ski can become aggressive like a tiger, while maintaining natural flex ... like a snake!

    Comments about Line Skis Afterbang:

I love the rocker in the way that it's really forgiving. If you slam down hard at the end of a rail you won't be launched forward, or if you land on the backs of the skis the same applies. I would get these over and over. `the only thing is that they are pretty heavy.

    Comments about Line Skis Afterbang:

I had so much fun on this ski for the first 50 days, super playful. Great butter zone. Easy to pop onto rail features. All around fun for pure park. Only problem is they didn't last. I cracked the edges underfoot which was no surprise. That's the reason I end up with new park skis every year. Then I split the top sheet from the base at the tip. That combined with the already weak top sheet left a bit to be desired in durability.

    Comments about Line Skis Afterbang:

I have used these skis for one season so far and I would give them a 4 out of 5 stars. The 2015 model is a huge improvement from previous years. They are much more durable this year, and but still maintain a light poppy feel. They're great for park and groomed runs, but don't do well in powder or choppy snow. With the thin shape and soft flex, they tend to bounce around and slide out on choppy snow. I love these skis in smaller parks, but they don't hold up well on big jumps. They're great for hopping onto boxes and rails and their lightweight feel makes them really easy to spin. If you're going to be taking them off of jumps bigger than 30ft, I wouldn't recommend these skis. When tried them on a set of bigger jumps they were very unstable and hard to land with because of their soft flex. These skis are great on smaller jumps though. The carbon "ollieband" provides you with a lot of pop off of the jumps and helps with balance on landings. If I were rating these skis strictly for their performance in the park, I would rate them a 5 out of 5. If you are looking for one setup to ski the whole mountain with though, I wouldn't recommend these skis.

    Comments about Line Skis Afterbang:

I loved these skis for how long they lasted. They are definetly more of a park ski!! they are not as durable as they say they are. My lasted a season befor they started to delaminate. they are great for the price but not your ski if you like allmountain skiing and park. They were very heavy at first but when your legs get used to it they are very light. The new construction is awful... the fiber glass on top just chips soooo easily they are way stiffer as well. the only 2 advantages is the thinner tip which is lighter and how the tips dont delaminate on the old ones like what happened to mine. i have rode the older construction and the new construction however they both have their pros and cons.

They are so much fun to ski. Very poppy . Tons of fun in the park. They handle speed very well . Good on groomers . Obviously not for powder , so floatations isn't great. They chip like crazy . Overall they are fun but probably won't last 2 seasons.

The ski is great on rails but the base is very poor. I had to wax it after only 2 times of riding it and every 2-4 times after that. the ski only rides well on groomers and if you get fresh snow your speed will instantly decrease.

              Comments about Line Skis Afterbang:

I used this ski last season and I loved it. They are super durable but also lightweight. With the butter zone I could butter all over the mountain and not worry about breaking the skis. The carbon ollie band made the skis extremely poppy. I could easily hop onto rails and boxes without a ramp. When carving hard at mach 10 speed they were stable. I never felt like the ski was going to do something I did not want it to do. These skis cut through the crud with ease. However, the one thing this ski did not do very well was float in the powder. Overall it is a confidence inspiring ski and if you get the chance you should buy one.
