Eric Pollard is a skier, an artist, a film maker, a ski designer, and a visionary of which all come together in the purest extension of his personality. . . his skis. This is Eric’s, and the world’s, fattest, most progressive freestyle specific powder ski for making the previously impossible tricks, now possible in the powder.

Watch the NIMBUS episodes online of Eric and his friends skiing like you've never seen, all produced and edited by Eric. NimbusIndependent.com

Concept: I find the most challenging aspect of skiing backwards in powder is digging your tails in and going over the bars. I needed a ski that makes skiing backwards in powder easy.

Art: This year's graphic is multi medium: pencil/ink/paper. I wanted to do try a different style for a ski graphic, something with a lot of character. All the drawings are from sketch books I drew throughout the winter. I also scaned in the paper from other sketches I had done, some from random pieces of paper, napkins, outsides of the sketch books, etc. I scanned all the drawings and papers and manipulated them on the computer. It turned out really well.

Engineering: The EP Pro is the culmination of four years worth of proto type powder skis. We tested tons of different variations in length, width, tip height, shape, tip shape, early rise, early taper and flex. I went as far as to have Line send me skis with big rectangle tips and then used a jig saw the continually modify the shape. I also built cardboard models of the ski to get a better idea 3 dimensionally of different early rise variations. The early rise combined with the tip height, mounting point, symmetrical flex pattern and early taper in both tip and tail eliminate all risk of going over the bars. It is the best ski I have ever designed.

Check out the Nimbus Webisodes to get a better idea of the way these skis were designed to be ridden.

Dan, BC, CA
I love the these skis. After years of trying to ski deep powder on thinner, non rockered skis, i decided to buy these. The EPros are amazing and took my skiing in backcountry to the next level.
Orr Pominville, Mt. Norquay/Sunshine Village, AB, CA
The ep pro changed how i see skiing. I absolutely love skiing them and have the hardest time taking them of my feet. They are scary as hell to look at, but ski them and you'll understand.
brody Leven, the canyons, UT, US
absolutely the most fun you'll ever have on snow. i mean it so much, too.

Starky, Mt. Baldy, CA, US
I love these skis! These skis have made skiing fun and exciting for me again. Whether I am skiing 3 inch wind buff or tit deep pow, these things are just amazing. You can rip threw tight trees and find those little pockets of virgin fluff and just slash the crap out of them. The only problem is when I really lay into a turn I can forget about a face shot, I get a full body shot and am chocking on snow. Everyone should pick up a pair or two of these sleds, I am buying a second pair because I have to have a pair now for backcountry pow days. Thank You Eric Pollard I owe you one. Oh ya, its also funny to see the looks gapers give you in the lift line when you got these things strapped to your feet.

i come from baker and i know powder, these float in the deep and handle like a lambo both on the runs and in the deepest pow pow baker has to offer. these skis are by far the best freestyle powder skis anyone has to offer. i'll give them a 100%
Brody Leven, The Canyons and Alta, UT, US
these are the single most fun, playful, and perfect skis ever made. they will completely revolutionize the way that you look at the mountain. i mean that!
Tim Pelletier, Stowe , Unknown
These skis shred! Do NOT fear them for the east, they make 6 inches of pow feel like 2 ft. It is the perfect tool for the eastern trees!
Jacob, Keystone, CO, US
probably one of the most playful skis which helps me ride powder and butter around because i'm a lightweight. rides a little better than hellbents and it has a totally unique feel overall
Garrett Russell, Telluride, CO, US
Hell yeah! Funnest ski ever made for playing in the powder! I ride these babies everywhere. Epic for buttering in the pow and ridiculous for switch landings and riding. Give them a try. I'm sure you'll love them!
Max Hill, Whistler, BC, CA
Take some cliff and some pop, Stir it up in a pot, Make sure you drop to the bottom, the ski rises back to the top. Yup!
rion fisher, crystal mtn, WA, US

Corey Baker, Sun Peaks, BC, CA
OMG The Ep is an EPIC ski. Floats over the snow like nothin. It feels like you're water skiing on snow, Both ways Switch and reg. Butters are nothin on them. Even when you are in the deep pow. Sick ski all around the mountain.
mike widlroither, AT
hands down the best powder ski ever and of course you get a lot of attention

James Little, Alta!, UT, US
Wow, these are the best pow pow skis ever. You feel as though you are floating on a cloud when you hit the powder. Great Ski Line. ; )
David Velasco, where ever theres fresh, CO, US
this ski is insanse...the ski is super surfy, and skis much shorter than a true '86...skiing swith is made easy with the early rise...don't be afraid, you will have fun on this whenever there is some fresh 6" or more...because the ski is not a true orcker it is still versitle enough to get you to the goods via groomers, catwalks, etc, but belongs in the pow...the ski is a little too soft for hucking when the condition aren't the softest...if you are just planning on shreddin pow this ski is great for messing around and tryin stuff you can't on traditional fatty's...definitely a fav in my quiver...
matt salter, fernie, BC, CA
"this is the sickest ski i have ever ridden everyone should get out there and try a pair of these nice work eric"
Travis Gruber, Alpine Meadows, CA, US
I was a bit nervous on them my first run down the hill. All I could think is wow maybe this is too much ski for me. But the truth is the ski rocks; it didn take long before it became my one ski quiver.
Matt, Crystal Mountain, WA, US
Awesome topsheet
