I ride the Line Influence 105 186 cm with Rossignol FKS 140 bindings and Scarpa Tornado boots. I am 6'2" and 190 lbs.
What an amazing ski! This is a perfect Colorado ski. I've gotten to ride it 5 days so far this winter including A-Basin hard pack at the avy companion rescue class, chopped up Vail bowls, and the first bluebird day after 48" at Wolf Creek. The sidewall lets you take big turns, and the ski is damp and holds well through the chop. It was other-wordly in the pow. It turns quick, holds big turns, and floats. This is the one ski: one ski to rule them all. Now I need to find a lighter version for backcountry.
Pros
- Bumped Me A Whole Level
- Fantastic On Bumps
- Fantastic On Crud
- Feels Electrical
- Wikked Fun
Cons
- Must Ski Aggressive
- Skulls
- Unforgiving
Best Uses
These things are crazy, wikked fun! What a revelation! I was skiing on a pair of Rosignals until a week ago, and with these muthas, was able to keep up with a very experienced, hard core skier for the first time. No kidding, they raised me an entire level of proficiency.
Pros
- All mountain capable
- Decently wide
- Reasonably stiff
Cons
- Heavy
- Slower than other skis
Best Uses
- Heavier folk
- Powder
I demoed this recently in Salt Lake City, Utah. We had a couple of inches of fresh, and the ski was fairly competent all over the mountain. However, it's on the heavier side which didn't suit me so much (165 lbs, 6'1"). Probably best for people who beat up on their skis rather than those who want something a bit more nimble.
Pros
- Graphics
- Smoothness
- Stability
Cons
- None so far
Best Uses
- Big hills and mountains
- Snowy slopes
Best skis, I've ever had.

I wished they'd be good, but they were great. My old skis were so good that I was a bit afraid that I would be disappointed, but I was not! I have not yet tested the skis in powder, but on a slope with some loose snow, they were amazing.
Pros
- Crud Buster
- Foregiving
- Great Carving
- Long Turning
- Powder
- Quick Turning
- Smooth
Cons
- none
Best Uses
- All around
- Crud
- Powder
Finally got to try my new Line Influence 105s....mmnnnnnn... Awsome! Skied Whistler a few days ago after 2 days of being closed the Peak chair had 60cm freshies! These skis rock in powder and crud! And, skied the hardpack, which lead to ice and then soft spring at the end and they gripped wickedly in all conditions. Wow... in a 105 - Who would think? This is indeed the one skier quiver. Well done.
Pros
- Adapts to Mountain
- A total Blast
- Serious Horsepower
- Splendid Graphics
Cons
- Nada
Best Uses
- Anywhere there's snow
Demo'dd I-105s at Copper Mountain CO. Followed my snow grommets all over - bumps, park, trees, groomers and they are the best, most fun ever.
