Comments about Line Skis Prophet 98:

I will admit I didn't read any online reviews, instead I trusted a friend that recommended the Prophet 98s. What a great choice I made buying this ski! I have been trying them everywhere: deep snow, fast runs, steeps, trees - and with every turn I was happy I listened to my friend and purchased these skies. They are quick, light, they carve, float, grip and let go as soon as you think about the move. I would most definitely recommend those to a friend!

Comments about Line Skis Prophet 98:

I've owned many a ski of all different shape and size. After getting my hands on an original pair of Prophet 100s many years ago, I've been hooked. These are by and far the most comfortable and fun sticks I've had the pleasure of running. Powder, groomers, on-piste or off, they charge with precision, confidence and a neverending smile on my face. It's all been said elsewhere and I'll verify - it's all true. For my style and soul, this is the ski!
Worst possible scenario occurred last week in Tahoe when I stopped at a bar after skiing and someone ripped them out of my box, which stupidly wasn't locked for once. Felt like someone had stolen a part of me, made even worse because they had Marker Baron touring bindings on them. Can't afford that same setup again, but a new pair of 98s with Griffons will be on my feet again as soon as humanly possible. Need my Prophet fix and nothing else will do. That's what credit cards are for, right?
Thanks for the addiction, Line. ;-)

Comments about Line Skis Prophet 98:

I have been skiing almost 45 years and bought a pair of Prophet 98s and can honestly say they are the single best all-around skis I have ever owned. I ski primarily in Atlantic Canada and they've seen everything from park to air to pow to bullet-proof and I have not once thought they needed anything but what they were already delivering. I'm looking forward to picking up a second pair for my teles.

Comments about Line Skis Prophet 98:

My local shop didn't have these skis to demo at the time, so I purchased them based largely on reviews that I read online. Let me tell you, I don't regret my decision for one second :) These skis are light, very quick to turn (due to early rise) and just a pure pleasure to ride on. I'm not much of a carve skier, mostly because it's not my style of skiing and I'd prefer powder and bumps, but I was very surprised when I leaned these wider skis over on edge...they can actually carve up a run and feel very solid doing it !!

I'm going to steal a quote that I read from another review elsewhere online," If you're thinking about purchasing these skis, go for it because you won't regret it!" :)

Took them out to the Rockies a few times this season. Some pow, some crud, some grooms, this ski does them all with ease. Enough flotation in the deep stuff and plenty of edge when you need it elsewhere. No chatter and they turn easy. Easily my favorite ski. Noticed a tiny bit of topsheet chipping away but otherwise these suckers are perfect.

Comments about Line Skis Prophet 98:

This is the widest ski I own (underfoot), my previous "daily drivers" being 86s. What a great upgrade! I was looking for a one ski quiver but wasn't sure if I wanted to get anything wider than 100. I wasn't sold on a full rocker ski since I enjoy bombing groomers and throwing Super-G turns.
I'm extremely pleased with the performance of my Prophet 98s and look forward to skiing on them for many years to come. On piste they destroy corduroy and smash through soft moguls and chunky Cascade concrete. I can throw them on edge at any speed and know they'll respond with power and agility. Carving on these skis is effortless and oh so much fun.
Off piste is where I've noticed how much of a difference these skis really make. I've taken them out on a couple of powder days and been blown away by the float they give me – I'm about 215 geared up and ski the 186. The Prophet 98 really shined last week in Heather and Clark Canyon on Mount Hood. These skis seem at home on steep, wide-open faces with fresh snow. In the trees they're agile despite their length and the early rise tip really seems to help maneuverability.
My only complaint is that I've noticed they chatter a bit more than I would like on very hard packed, wind-blown surfaces. Most skis do this, of course, but the Prophets feel like they're almost brittle by comparison. I'm not sure if this is due to the lightweight nature of this ski (which is appreciated btw). Certainly not a fatal flaw and I'm extraordinarily happy with them.

                    Great Skis

Comments about Line Skis Prophet 98:

These are such a great all round ski, I was lucky enough to get a pair in time for a trip up to Japan in Jan/Feb 2011. Pulled them out of the ski bag for the first day on Happo One and up we went for the first ski of the trip. The snow was nice and dry on piste and there was about 30cm from the day before off piste.

You know when you get half way through your second turn on a new pair of skis and you start to smile?

So I did a few medium radius turns at medium speed and they felt very nice, then some short turns, no worries, really quick edge to edge for 98 under foot. Next, laid them over and they carved beautifully, very stable. Then popped off the side and into the fresh and they had plenty of floatation, further down the hill there were a few bumps and they were nice and quick through there as well. By the time I got to the bottom of the first run I couldn't believe how good these skis were.

After Hakuba we went up to Niseko and had some unbelievably deep snow day after day and one of the best ski days I've ever had and these skis were great in all conditions.

I've been a patroller for over twenty years and have skied many different skis and these are easily one of the best skis I've ever skied on, really versatile on piste for a ski that is so good in powder, these skis are fun, a real pleasure to be on all day long.

I got a pair of the Prophet 90's as a day to day work ski and they are very nice as well.

                    Really happy with Line Skis
