      It's Love

My skiing partner has had the Prophet 100's for three seasons and loved them. It was also apparent that his skiing improved dramatically. In 2012 I skied Solomon Czar's which were great in deep snow but turned like bull dozers on groomed. Because of their side cut and width I took a chance and bought the Bacons at the beginning of this season without trying them and it paid off. I have found my soul mates. These skis are light and go from edge to edge so quickly that they are excellent in trees and moguls. The early rise tip gives awesome float in deep, crud or slush plus they look amazing and I've gotten many compliments. Their one weakness is at super high speeds they can get a little squirly but that isn't what they are built for. I skied in Steamboat, Whistler and in NY this year, I love these skis and I would highly recommend them for anyone who looks to the trees, bumps and deep.

This is my only ski and I use it every weekend. Its a fat ski so it floats great with the early rise. The main reason I feel this ski can do everything to park to powder to groomers is the light weight. The size of this ski is fairly large for an everyday skier but when the snow is hard and packed I can even tell I'm on a big ski because their just so light. Best ski I've ever owned hands down. Really does it all. I havent skied a day where the ski didnt perform perfectly.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ski.

I felt right at home on these skis from the moment I put them on. On my very first run, I was only on groomers for a few hundred yards before I felt so good I opted for the straight route down lift line. I was immediately airing off cliffs into the moguls with ice and rocks everywhere... right into the Vermont ugly... and they did not miss a beat. They felt perfect from the first run.

This is not always the case for me- The day before I skied the Blizzard Bonafide and HATED them all day. By the end of the day I felt 1/4 as comfy as I did my first run on the Bacon... the Bonafide just don't turn, they were not forgiving at all and every mogul kicked me into the back seat and accelerated me down the hill. I have no idea why the Bonafide won all those awards when IMHO the Bacon are so FAR superior.

The more I ski the Bacons the more I LOVE them. Pollard nailed it! He got it just right with the width and the super small turning radius. they turn like they are on rails. SO AMAZINGLY agile!

They are super playful and fun to carve. They changed how I ski on groomers. I often find myself carving so hard I literally go uphill, then turn it back downhill, all without dragging an edge or losing speed. They want to go edge to edge so fast you can make these incredible quick arching turns while not losing any speed, then you can open it up into big arching turns... the kind that beg you to drag your hand in the snow. Super FUN!

More than just a carving/ slalom ski, they are spring loaded and I find myself airing off everything I can. From cliffs to jumps on the side of the trail, these babies just want to catch air. Somehow they are just soft enough to be forgiving, so if you air into a pile of moguls you can keep it together and they are so agile you can maneuver through the ugly stuff and avoid the near crashes. Also, their agility makes them really good for the very steep and challenging stuff.

Not sure how he did it, but Pollard hit a grand slam with the Bacon! It is a seemingly impossible combination of incredibly playful and really forgiving, while at the same time being stable enough to shred at high speed.

Thanks to the Bacon I am hucking meat off cliffs as if it were my occupation. Alas, I'm just a weekend warrior who really appreciates these skis.

            BRAVO ERIC POLLARD!

Best ski I have ever ridden on. I got 7 days in on these skis with a nice variety of conditions. It slays them all with ease. Very fun in the powder, carves beautifully on the hardpack and groomers, and it lets you go very fast. In the crud the ski doesn't deflect and goes where you tell it to go. It does get a little chattery when you are traversing or almost at the chair, but that's cuz the tips aren't being used so they're bored.

It looks killer and definitely attracts a lot of attention on the chairs, the good kind of attention too.

Bacon makes you love the fatties.

            By Lazy Jack

            from Lancaster, Pa.

Skied last year's (2011-2012) Bacons for the first time last weekend (Jan 2013). Bought them in the middle of last season but I did not ski them. I live and ski in the east so what was the point, right? Could not have been more wrong. I could not take another week without trying them out, so off to a Pennsylvania manmade playground I went. I brought along my Prophet 90s thinking I would take a few runs just to unlimber the big guns and then put them away until I got somewhere with powder. I forgot I even had a car to go back to.

On groomers, some ice and piste, piste, piste they flew and even floated occasionally. Fast, stable, quick on the turn, they performed. I grew up skiing Olin and Kastle long wood, so I am skiing the 184 (On the recommendation of my favorit shop) even though I am shorter. Even with the extra length and weight, the skis ride light and they are responsive. If you are looking at them and debating, stop. They are worth it.

            Amazing ski.
Demo'd them out of the blue, skied 2 feet of heavy pow straight off the lift and through man these float. Next run skied 6 inches of cut up pow on a solid base and was airing out of the turns without trying, laughed my head off all the way down the mountain. Loving it.
So fast edge to edge, and then can hold an awesome edge on fast groomers, while floating on pow.
So stoked, finally found the best pair of skis ever.

I love this ski. I've never purchase a ski new during the same season before, I would always purchase a demo or hunt down last years model for a discount. After a single day of demo I purchase the SFB and the Opus. Turns on a dime, absolutely wonderful in the trees. It is completely solid on soft/fresh/crud snow. It handles the groomed runs just great, but once you used them off grommed or after the groom has been eaten up later in the the day, you will never want to see a grom run again. Prefect ski for morning fresh powder and afternoon crud. I'm 5'7" healthy 190 pounds, and the 178cm is fine. Even as a heavy rider the 178 floats great.

SFB does everything great: pow, grom, switch, jumps. Prefect ski for anywhere in the west, and fantasic pow ski for east. Prefect fit with Marker Griffon/Jester. HATED the Solomon heel with my demo. Stupid thing fell off.

Don't demo unless your ready to buy.
