Comments about Line Skis Soulmate 98:

I have the 2014 and it is a fantastic ski! I am an aggressive East Coast skier, 5'4", ~140lbs and I use the 165cm. It just rips the entire mountain. Having raced in high school and only been on 70mm or less underfoot, I was concerned that 98mm simply would not carve. However, this ski has no problem getting on edge. The multi-radial sidecut lets you make your own turns from frontside Super-G to tight trees and moguls. Additionally, the ski is lightweight, and with the 98mm waist, it's great in the air and really sticks landings. The twin-tip makes throwing 180's a breeze and while the ski can be ridden switch, the binding placement really wants to charge hard forward. Just a little bit of tip rocker helps it float and bust through the crud. However, the traditional camber does make it sink a bit in deeper powder (it was fine, but noticeable on a 9" day for me). Overall, this is my go-to East Coast ski that can handle anything the mountain throws at you.

Comments about Line Skis Soulmate 98:

Some days you just want to go out and ski fast. You're not dreaming of powder, but rather groomers and hard pack where you can just let your skis run and just rocket down the mountain. While these skis probably won't help you get out of a stern talking from a ski patrol, they may help you outchase them. The metal in them gives them the durability you need when you come across varied terrain and snowpack. But the ski still retains a lightness.
