Mr. Pollard's Opus 2012 Ski
<b>SETTING A NEW STANDARD</b><br/>Opus is defined as ”<i>A great work of art or literature, especially the greatest single work of an artist</i>”. In Eric’s case, his 2012 Line Opus ski was developed over 13 years of progressing powder skiing & innovative ski designs with Line Skis.<br/><br/>As Eric says - “Anyone can make a really fat ski float in powder, but making it also versatile enough to rip firm snow is where they all fall short.” The Line Opus ski is a breakthrough in versatility within the powder ski category. We actually lowered the Early Rise™ tip geometry enabling it to PLANE INSTEAD OF PLOW in the powder. We also reduced the length of Early Taper™ putting 20% more Active Edge™ length in contact with the snow than others in it’s class, for MORE GRIP & LESS SLIP. This better floating tip geometry allowed us to actually reduce the width to 118mm for increased quickness, reduced weight and a skiing experience that is as ahead of it’s time as the skier that developed it.<br/><br/>ERIC POLLARD - "Over the past decade I have designed and skied over 100 different prototypes in search of skis that allow me to ride the mountain the way I want to. We have gone to every extreme from super fat 140mm to narrow, to super short, to over 200cm long, extreme Early Rise to no Early Rise, lots of side cuts to reverse sidecut, blunt tips, pointy tips. We have applied every flex pattern we can think of, mounted each ski in different locations and analyzed the differences over and over again, to learn so much from each ski. The new Opus and the Bacon are the culmination of the last 13 years of work. They blend a perfect mix of flex, sidecut, tip shape, overall shape/ footprint, mounting point, Early rise, Early taper, and camber. They are honestly the best skis I have ever skied."<br/><br/><b>CONSTRUCTION</b><br/><ul><li>Sidewall Construction</li><li>Early Rise™ tip & tail 25cm x 15mm</li><li>Early Taper™ tip & tail</li><li>Thin Tip</li><li>Maple Macroblock™ Core</li><li>5 Radius G-Cut™ Geometry </li><li>Symmetric Flex</li><li>Sintered Fatty Base & Edge</li></ul>

Sir Francis Bacon 2012 Ski
<b>POLLARD'S ONE SKI QUIVER</b><br/>The 2012 Line Sir Francis Bacon ski has been completely re-designed by Eric for a level of quickness & versatility previously considered impossible in this width, yet with enough float to be worthy of Pollard’s name. Its new break through lower Early Rise™ tip geometry PLANES INSTEAD OF PLOWS in the pow, while the length of Early Taper™ has actually been reduced vs. past years to put much more Active Edge™ length in contact with the snow for MORE GRIP & LESS SLIP. The Bacon’s new smooth reliable flex pattern feels like an extension of your feet, literally carving on a dime as well as it can float in the powder. This is the next level of Pollard approved fun, for everywhere on the mountain.<br/><br/>ERIC POLLARD - "<i>Over the past decade I have designed and skied over 100 different prototypes in search of skis that allow me to ride the mountain the way I want to. AK Mid February '12 with Colter Hinchliffe
I got a sweet opportunity to head to AK for my first time, and in the style of a private plane. it was early season for Haines, Alaska. We were the first ones there, even a couple days before the bird, and were the first ones to fly in the range. opening the range meant easing into things, and not getting on the sickest spines in the zone, and alot of stuff was in the shade all day long anyways. it was such a sick first experience and i cant wait to go back. it was just a taste for me. just the tip. - Colter

March Madness at Alta with Colter Hinchliffe
Its only March and we're finally skiing some legit pow! my favorite days have always been the stormy ones where it keeps getting deeper and no one is there but your buddies. Its good for my soul and its what winter means to me, and it almost always happens on Wildcat chair in Alta, UT. I/we hadn't gotten it this year till early march, and it was sick! my plans to move on immediately after the storm were changed when i got a last minute shoe into the Salt lake shoot out. things went well, I made some friends, had some great vibes and team dynamics, and we ended up with the gold to compliment our great images by "the legendary" Steve Lloyd. :) fun stuff. - Colter

What many people don't know is that I played hockey for 15 years before I started skiing. So my sis and I went to our local pond near our house in VT where I squeezed into my size 8.5 skates made some awesome turns with Vanessa for 15 min. Few days before a nice classic overcast day at Mount Snow turned out to be a fun-filled reunion with my friends and roommates from Utah. Enjoy the new Weak!

Evan Williams is a double whammy, a Line MC and an amazing filmer/editor. Check out the latest edit from the warm Ice Coast.Late March is usually the peak of park season on the east coast. Consequently, we took full advantage of it. I had a chance to film with my good friend Ian Compton at mount snow for a couple days where we met up with local Jack Strain. From there, I went to Okemo where I shot with longtime buddy Andrew Holson who was fresh off the plane from Utah. This video is the product of our days.Filmed and edited by Evan Williams (http://vimeo.com/evanwilliams)
