A NEW INNOVATION FEATURED ON THE OUTLINE & SIR FRANCIS BACON

Adding convexity to the tip and tails of the Sir Francis Bacon and Outline was a massive challenge – harder than anything LINE's engineers have undertaken. With convex contouring of the base on the tip & tail, we’re able to loosen the overall feel when the tip or tail is pressured. Similar to a surfboard, the convexity adds dimensionality to the ways in which you can pressure, feather, and stand on a ski. The result is a ski that slashes better, butters with more control, improves float, and moves faster through powder.

3D CONVEX™ TIPS & TAILS

An application derived from surf and snowboards, convexity creates a looser feel in soft snow, allowing a ski with a deep sidecut to not be hooky at speed while still allowing maximum edge hold hardpack.

Freestyle All Mountain Powder Performance

The Sir Francis Bacon and Outline both feature a fully symmetrical flex, meaning they are both true twin tips. On each ski you'll find a very playful feel designed to help you flex, press, and butter. The Bacon remains the ultimate ski for all-mountain freestyle, while the Outline brings these freestyle characteristics into a chassis that can float and surf through the deepest of the deep.

SYMMETRIC FLEX

The same flex pattern in front and behind your boot conforms to terrain equally riding forward & backwards.

Versatility and Playfulness From Groomers to Powder to Park

Sir Francis Bacon Skis

Longer Active Edge

The widest point of the ski on the new Bacon is considerably further towards the tip and tail which means we're increased the effective edge which renders more control and stability throughout the entire ski. So now you can arch stable carving turns while railing hardpack and when you get in the powder the 3D Convex Tip's & Tails keep the ski loose so you're not hooking up.

Fatty Base

All-terrain freestyle means jumping, jibbing and bonking off of everything you see so it was necessary to beef up the construction of the Outline & Sir Francis Bacon. 30% thicker base & edge, 2mm wide x 2.5mm high steel edges and 1.7mm thick base dramatically increase durability and tuning life the skis.
