Ana Eyssimont showed up to Kings & Queens of Corbet’s as a rookie but left as the Queen.
Dropping 19th into a flat-lit, heavily tracked-out Corbet’s, she had every reason to play it safe—but that’s not how Ana rolls.
In her own words, “[She] changed [her] mind several times, for weeks and days, leading up to the actual drop-in. The thing about freeride skiing is you have to adapt and find inspiration in whatever is in front of you.” And that’s exactly what she did.
On her first run, she sent a clean air into the couloir, followed by a massive backflip and a solid boost off the bottom jump—textbook style.
Run two got rowdy. After a slip-up on the entry, Ana rebounded with an unexpected front flip mid-run and closed it out with another big backie at the bottom.
With a combination of technical precision, style, and adaptability, she earned the crown on her first-ever Kings & Queens appearance. Safe to say, Ana has arrived.
