TUX
Fall usually marks the beginning of the ski season, with skiers heading up to the glacier to enjoy some laps with the homies and dust off those cobwebs from summer. Fall also marks the beginning of the ski movie season. Back in October, LINE was hosting a premiere in Innsbruck; this felt like an excellent opportunity to round up all the European athletes for an impromptu team shoot.
Robert Ruud and Leo took the plaudits for the longest journey, making the trip from Norway. Loosli, Migi, Anouk, Martina, and Jul made up the Swiss contingency. Team Francais saw Lalo and Marius travel up from Annecy. The sibling duo of Max and Lisa Zimmerman joined German athletes Trifo and Jannis bundle into 1x car along with Danish rider Jakob and finally Scotland’s Chris McCormick making up the crew.
After rallying the team together, we decided to load up the cars and head up to Hintertux for some days riding Better Parks. As always, with days up at the glacier, you never know what kind of weather you’re going to get. Will it be bluebird? Is it going to be blistering winds and snowing? Sadly, on day one, we were greeted with the latter, turbo wind, whiteout, and a closed park…damn. But this didn’t dampen the spirits as the crew weren’t the only ones hoping to ride park that day; the bottom of the park was still accessible, and with the wind not blowing as hard here, a hiking session with some tubes was the go-to for the day.
Mother Nature was on our side for day two with the sun putting on its hat, which meant the crew could finally see how Better Parks was shaping up. With a whole bunch on offer, from a flowy medium line for the jump jockey’s to throw some shapes on and a rail garden with countless options for the more jibby skiers amongst the group to play around with.
Once the legs got tired, the crew called it and made their way back to Innsbruck for a swift change of clothes and a quick bite to eat before heading to the Leo Kino cinema for the premiere. The cinema was packed and hyped to sit back, nurse some bevy’s and enjoy an evening of ski projects from the whole LINE team, locally and globally. Kicking the evening off was Innsbruck local Ole Pavel’s “Polyamory,” followed up by the first screening of TC’s “SoCal Media”, next up was another Innsbruck local, Steffi Mössler and her project “HoundDog.” Mr.Loosli followed up with his movie “Sanctuary,” along with team rider Migi and good friend Kai Mahler. Rounding off the evening was Dylan Siggers’ movie “PeaceLily.”
Many beers and Aperols were sunk during the premiere with the party moving into the city, as the crew visiting Innsbruck for the first time became introduced to the Austrian’s taste of music in the form of underground techno..a very wholesome, traditional experience to cap off a fun few days for the whole LINE crew.
