2022 International Women's Day

March 8, 2022

Supporting gender equality in skiing is the only way to keep ski culture in the right direction, today is no different. This International Women’s day we wanted to reflect on what we’re doing now and ahead with a kickass female LINE-up leading this charge!

From Taylor Brooke in the park to Hadley Hammer’s all-mountain adventures we take pride in supporting our female athletes and directly involving them in LINE’s future! What’s best for women’s skiing should come from our and other women athletes directly such as – design considerations, marketing presence, bringing more women into skiing, and so much more.

The year ahead's momentum from female athletes in the sport is going to be exciting, especially here at LINE. Street and big mountain projects are a must to inspire future females currently in skiing and those looking to start for the first time. We’re Stoked to involve some newer members to our LINE-up such as Rian Zetzer, Marion Balsamo, and many more in the mix as well, stay tuned!

Below are a couple blurbs from LINE-Ladies!

Rian Zetzer

I would love to see more women getting in the backcountry and discovering their own unique style. I want to see women pushing themselves out of their comfort zones because we are capable of so much more than we realize!

Stefanie Mössler

I would love to see more women in skiing in general. Let’s support and encourage more women to step in a still male dominated sport. We can already see rising the level in all different kinds of skiing. And the most beautiful thing about it is, that it happens by supporting each other instead of competing each other!

Marion Balsamo

The future of womens skiing looks incredible. the progression that girls continue to make gets me so hyped. Hope that we can keep getting more girls in the park and stoked to enjoy this wonderful sport. I think that sometimes park can be intimidating for girls in the sport so we just have to be that much more encouraging and supportive of each other! I’m excited to see girls shredding with their friends and progressing the sport!!!

In the early days of freeskiing, women worked to catch up to the men in terms of tricks. Over the years, so many amazing women have worked hard pushing this sport that now we're almost closing the gap! But, I'd LOVE to see the men trying to catch up to us women in the future!!! 😜
