LINE athlete Hadley Hammer is heading North…WAY NORTH. She’s joining 4 other girls for an adventure in the Artic. “Girls Gone Polar” documents five girls in a 50 foot sailboat, with skis & splitboards, 2 rifles and polar bears.
In a male-dominated action sports industry, we come across a common pattern of thinking among girls… “I don’t have the skills. I’m not good enough. I don’t know how. What if I fail? Someone else could do it better.”
This film will explore the serious topic of gender disparity and the female mindset in the action sports industry with a definitely humorous spin as we tell the tale through the eyes of five strong-minded, strong-willed, mountain driven girls. What is it like to splitboard & ski with rifles (required due to the polar bears)? How do you manage a sailboat with five females and one male captain? What really goes down on extreme expeditions? Prepare to laugh, get to know each team member personally, and see adventure through a new perspective.
Ultimately, the girls on this excursion just want to keep seeking out new, epic terrain and push their own individual limits. They want to share the gift of exploration and adventure with others. And the goal is simply to show girls what’s possible; hopefully, inspiring them to get out there and believe that they can do the same.
